  1. Ownership of Copyright

Copyright of all published articles in the Gandhara Journal of Natural Sciences (GJNS) remains with the authors.

Authors grant GJNS and Kandahar University a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, distribute, reproduce, and archive their articles in any form, format, or medium, including print and digital.

This arrangement allows authors to retain control over their work while ensuring wide dissemination of scientific knowledge.

  1. Author Rights

Authors publishing with GJNS retain the right to:

  • Reuse their article, in whole or in part, in future works (such as books, lecture materials, or reports), provided proper citation to the original publication in GJNS is given.
  • Deposit the accepted manuscript or published version in institutional repositories, personal websites, or other open-access platforms without prior permission, provided acknowledgment of GJNS as the original place of publication is included.
  • Share their work freely for teaching, research, and non-commercial purposes.

  1. Licensing and Access Policy

All articles published in GJNS are distributed under an Open Access policy, ensuring free and universal access to scholarly work.

  1. Responsibilities of Authors

By submitting a manuscript to GJNS, authors affirm that:

  • All necessary permissions have been obtained for the use of copyrighted materials (such as figures, tables, or data) from third parties.

  1. Responsibilities of the Journal and Publisher

GJNS and Kandahar University will:

  • Act in compliance with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and international publishing best practices.
